Enable ENGINE Media Exchange (EMX) in Google Open Bidding with Online Onboarding

 

Google Open Bidding publishers can leverage ENGINE Media Exchange’s (EMX) unique demand by completing the online onboarding and contracting workflow with EMX in the Google Ad Manager UI or AdMob UI.

Requirement: You must have a Google Ad Manager account or an AdMob account that is enabled for online Click-to-Accept onboarding alpha.

 

 

ENGINE Media Exchange (EMX) Onboarding Process for Google OB Publishers

 

  1. Publishers need to add EMX as a bidder in the Google UI.
  2. Publishers need to complete the online onboarding process, agree to and accept the EMX contract, and submit it for review by the EMX team.
  3. EMX will review the application and vet your inventory. The review process should be complete within 2-3 business days.
  4. If approved, publishers will receive ads.txt and/or app-ads.txt entries and can then start monetizing their inventory with EMX.

How to Add EMX as a Bidder in the Google UI

  1. See Google Ad Manager’s documentation on Onboard online with Open Bidding buyers (Alpha).
  2. Add EMX as a yield partner and specify the inventory that you want to sell. For more details, see Google Ad Manager’s documentation on Add third-party yield partners to a yield group.
  3. In Google Ad Manager, locate a link to EMX’s application form which will open the EMX Click-to-Accept online onboarding form.
  4. Complete the onboarding form. You will need to share your 16-digit Google publisher ID and provide the required contact information, business details, and relevant inventory details before submitting the form.
  5. Click “Continue to Legal Contract,” review the contract, and click to accept and agree to the terms of the contract.
  6. Click “Submit Application” when you are ready, and you will be redirected back to GAM and EMX will be available to select as an Open Bidding ad source.

I’d like to make changes to the EMX contract. Where or how can I go about doing that?

Due to the volume of applications, this program does not support modifications to the EMX agreement.

 

What is the turnaround time after I have submitted the online onboarding form and electronically signed the agreement?

Publisher will get a response within 2-3 business days.

 

How can I check on the status of my online onboarding application?

The status of your application will be reflected in either your Google Ad Manager UI or your Google AdMob Ui with one of the following statuses:

  • “Pending” – your submission is still under review
  • “Approved” – your submission was approved
  • “Rejected” – your submission was rejected

 

My application was approved, what are the next steps?

After your application is approved, you will get an email from EMX with the necessary ads.txt and/or app-ads.txt entries which you are required to add to your relevant ads.txt and/or app-ads.txt files.

 

Why was my application rejected?

Due to the volume of submissions, we do not provide details on decisions for an application that has been rejected by default. If you would like more details and potential steps for reconsideration, please contact us at GoogleOBSupport@emxdigital.com.

 

What are the payment terms?

Will I receive reporting access?
